No question too small
Let’s talk good finds.
An auction question, a curious object, or just a hello — we’d love to hear from you.
jackmorgan1702@gmail.comA few helpful answers.
Can I bid if I’ve never been to an auction?
Absolutely. Most auction houses welcome new bidders. Register in advance, read the bidding terms, and ask the team how their process works. A small, considered first bid is a perfectly good place to start.
What is a buyer’s premium?
It’s a fee charged by the auction house on top of the hammer price. Rates vary, and taxes or online bidding fees may apply too. Check the total cost before setting your bidding limit.
Does an estimate mean that’s what I’ll pay?
No. An auction estimate is a guide, not a promise. The hammer price can be lower or higher, and your total includes fees and any delivery costs.
What photos should I send for a valuation?
Include the whole item from the front and back, the underside, any labels or signatures, and close-ups of wear or damage. Natural light is ideal.
Are your valuations guaranteed?
No. They are informed estimates based on the information available, not guaranteed sale prices or formal insurance, probate, or authentication reports.
